Meet The Lady In Red

Artwork

Mommas Arms

As a visual artist, I have had the opportunity to work in many media.

To date my favorite, though I feel comfortable with nearly as many as I have tried, is charcoal.

In a world suddenly needing to be conscious of how ‘green’ everything is I find it difficult to find supplies that conform to a green atmosphere.

Paint chemicals/fumes/containers, plastics, petroleum based products, trees, refuse. How do we find a way to make art that does not continue to take from our environment?

Though my charcoal comes from a burnt stick (willow to be exact) and burning it probably releases carbon dioxide into the air. They are now finding ways to minimize this. Anyone that knows of some greener ways to be an artist I would sure like to know. click on the page below to see more art. also more art at Enigmabooks Weblog. (see link)
